Flagging

The “Flag It” function lets you alert akatoo to misuses and abuses of the system. The Flag It link is posted to the right of all questions and answers. Once clicked, a two item menu drops down. The options are:


located to the right of all questions and answers in our knowledge base. Clicking this button unfolds a dropdown menu with two choices:

1. Spam/Nonsense – use this when someone uses the akatoo community in an attempt to promote a product or service, or if someone posts a profoundly nonsensical question or response.
2. Offensive - use this flag if you come across hate speech, obscene material, or anything you believe would cause an average community member to wince.

Once flagged, the akatoo support team is notified of the issue and makes an appropriate response. Members are lightly restricted in the number of questions and answers they may flag in a day to prevent abuse of the flagging system.
