The “What You Know” Promotion
What do you know? At akatoo, our mission is to exchange knowledge, and now is a great time to get really active in the community. Why is now such a great time? That's a good Knowledge Question, the kind the akatoo community benefits from the most. Here are the facts:
The top 50 (FIFTY) members, who receive the most answers to their Knowledge Questions (posted during the "What You Know" promotion from July 1st to September 30th), will receive a new iPhone 3G! To win, just ask quality questions that will attract lots of helpful answers. The top 50 users who receive the most answers to their knowledge questions win!
Keep in mind these tips to increase your chance of being in the top 50:
--Contest points are awarded based on the number of answers received to your questions. A person who asks 10 good questions and gets 10 answers to each of them will rank higher than a person who asks 50 good questions but only receives 1 answer to each one.
--Therefore, it is to your advantage to ask questions that require thought and insight. Questions that won't be of much assistance to you in this promotion, in addition to non-knowledge questions, are those like "What is the capital of Ohio?" Once the first person answers ("Columbus!"), others are less likely to chime in.
--Answering your own questions will not count toward your contest points.
