why are there red spots on my skin after i scratch it?

Does that mean i have some sort of skin condition or do i just have sensitive skin?

there aren't any bumps. it's just tiny red splotchy spots that take more than a few days to go away once they appear. My skin doesn't feel dry, but i've started using more lotion. The spots only appear when i scratch there - but i'm not even scratching very much!~

perhaps you're scratching too hard. are the bumps always there, just not red or is only when you irritate them by scratching that they show up?

You could just have really dry skin, sensitive skin or the beginning of eczema. Good luck!

It could be that you have a low-level allergy to something. It could be that the allergy alone is not severe enough to inflame your skin, but the combination of the allergy and the scratching is enough to trigger the inflammation.
