It also depends on the state, because incorporation is done on the state level. Many businesses choose to incorporate in particular states due to benefits therein (though not usually because of incorporation fees, more because of liability, tax, etc. issues)
When I wanted to incorporate my business, I spoke with a lawyer who has much experience with this kind of thing. He told me roughly 1000$. This is within Massachusetts though it might apply elsewhere too.
If you go to your state's website and go to the business section, they should list prices. In MA, we have to file with the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
Also, as surftb15 stated, it depends on what license you are getting. Fees for differing licenses, such as LLP, LLC, C Corp, S Corp, foreign corp of various kinds, trusts, assocations, etc. all can vary.
