Honestly, I think the best way is to have contact with them every day.
My sister and I work at a local pharmacy part-time, and whenever we're there, we help out behind the counter. I've only been working there for about a year now, and I already have learned SO much about all the drugs (their uses, side effects, generic names, etc)!!! Even if you spend hours studying, if you don't use it, you'll lose it, so this is a good way to retain the information!!!

I am also somewhat of a dork and read the drug ads in all the magazines and pay close attention whenever an ad for a drug comes on TV.

So I guess my answer is that you have to be a pharmacologist all the time, not just when you're studying!

mnemonic devices. Or just creating groups so that you can have something else to attach the drug to rather than just trying to remember random drugs.
